Greater DC Cares is taking a huge step towards encouraging multi-lingual volunteerism and we want you to guide this transition. During this meeting, we will discuss the steps taken in order for a volunteer activity to be impactful, safe and enjoyable. Then the council will discuss how to make that happen in Spanish at every step along the way, while still interfacing with the Greater DC Cares database.
The discussion will formally start at 6:30PM, but you are encouraged to come as early as 6:PM and voice some preliminary concerns, or ideas to get things moving forward.
Unfortunately, this meeting will have to be held in English in order to facilitate a clear understanding of the Greater DC Cares process, but if you are comfortable translating, feel free to bring monolingual Spanish speakers and we will give appropriate pauses to facilitate translation.
